Rogue Rec
THE LARGEST, MOST COMPREHENSIVE REC VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM IN SOUTH CAROLINA!
- Rogue Rec is our exciting, localized rec program to help grow the game at the grassroots level. Our mini-club sites are in local areas to keep friends together, involve local school teams, and introduce fundamentals with the benefit of competition.
This also gives players foundational skills, as they potentially move into the Club program. Rogue Rec players and families will be part of the same organization that has committed over 46 players to D1 colleges since 2019, and helped athletes earn over $5 million in athletic scholarships in that same time. Rogue Rec allows young athletes to be part of one of the top volleyball clubs in the southeast, but with the convenience of localized training and a rec volleyball setting.
A NOTE ABOUT COED TEAMS AND LEVELS: As the popularity of the league has grown, so has the variety of skills and experience. We do our best to divide them based on these criteria, but it is impossible to get it 100% right. There's no benefit to a younger player that is new to volleyball, competing against an older player with years of experience, and our goal is to provide a great season for ALL players. Additionally, boys volleyball has exploded in popularity, as well. While we do welcome boys in the league, there simply aren't enough at each location to create a separate boys division (hopefully soon!). So, we take that into consideration when grouping teams. Again, we want the best experience for everyone in the league!
LOCAL CONVENIENCE, WHOLE-MARKET COMPETITION
With local sites in Chapin, Lexington, Columbia, Forest Acres, West Columbia, Irmo/Ballentine, Heathwood Hall, and downtown Columbia, players and families are able to join friends and families close to home and participate in the most popular girls sport, and fastest-growing boys sport in the United States. Parents don't have to drive far to take advantage of everything that volleyball has to offer. Matches, however, are against the other sites in the league, and are centralized at Airport High School. So, while practices for the Chapin set are in Chapin, they won't have to travel further than Lexington to play matches against teams from Forest Acres and Downtown Columbia!THE PERFECT PROGRAM BETWEEN VOLLEYTOTS AND CLUB
After VolleyTots, girls and boys want to PLAY! And this is the perfect way for young athletes to experience competition and team dynamics, while maintaining a local feel. Players will learn new skills and rules of the game, in a safe, supportive environment.SOME OF OUR ROGUE REC SITES (some are only in the fall or spring)
